Hi, I'm Poppy!

I'm a gentle soul with a heart full of love, just waiting for the right family to share it with. Life can feel a little overwhelming sometimes, especially when things move too fast - so I'm hoping for a calm, quiet home where I can take things at my own pace. I imagine a cozy house with kind voices, soft beds, and a family who sees me not just as a pet, but as a real part of their lives. I want to be involved - whether it's pottering in the garden, curling up on the couch while you read, or just being near you while you go about your day.

I don't need much to be happy - just time, patience, and someone who'll let me blossom in my own way. Toys haven't really caught my eye in the shelter (too many new things to take in!), and hard enrichment doesn't really appeal to me either. But I do enjoy slow, thoughtful activities like scatter feeding in the yard - it gives me a chance to sniff, explore, and think, which I really enjoy.

If you have a calm, friendly dog already, I might be a great match for them - I'd love to meet and see how we get along. I'll need secure fencing to help keep me safe.
