Meet Adelaide: A Survivor with a Heart Full of Love
Adelaideโs journey began in far North Queensland, where she and her tiny kitten, Camille, were abandoned at a rural pound, given only three days to live. Sadly, being dumped at a country pound is often a death sentence. But thanks to the tireless efforts of a dedicated team of volunteers from all across the country, Adelaide, her daughter Camille, and two other kittens were saved just in time. Adelaide immediately took on the role of a nurturing mother, feeding and protecting her kittens during their long journey south to Sydney.
Now, this stunning beauty is ready for her forever home.
Adelaide is a Domestic Short Hair with a sleek, elegant ebony coat and mesmerizing eyes that will capture your heart at first glance. Sheโs the perfect blend of charm, affection, and just the right amount of independenceโmaking her an ideal companion for any family.
Her magnetic personality will draw you in, and her sweet nature will keep you hooked. Adelaide is the kind of cat who loves to be close to her humans, following you around like a little shadow. Sheโs a foodie at heart, never passing up a chance for a treat or a bite of her favorite meal.
Sheโs friendly with other cats, comfortable around dogs and her adaptable nature makes her an ideal addition to any home, big or small.
Adelaide is a true sweetheart who deserves a loving, forever home. Weโre so grateful we were able to save herโand we know sheโll bring endless joy to the right family.

Adoption details
Adopting with Kittie Kat Rescue Inc.
Bringing a new pet into your home is a long-term commitmentโboth emotionally and financially. Cats can live 15 to 20 years, so it's essential that all family members are prepared to provide love, shelter, and a safe environment for their lifetime. This includes premium nutrition, regular veterinary care, and ensuring they are kept indoors only or have access to a secure, cat-proof outdoor enclosure.
Our Adoption Process:
-Initial Contact & Questionnaire. Weโll start by sending you our adoption questionnaire via email or text message. This helps us understand your home environment and what you're looking for in a feline companion.
-Video Tour. We will require a video tour of your home, focusing on safety features such as secure screens on windows, doors and balconies. Plus, weโd love to see where your new kitty will be set up in their new home!
-Meet & Greet with the Foster Carer. Once your application is complete and approved, weโll arrange a time for you to meet the cat with their foster carer.
-Adoption & Bringing Your Cat Home. In some cases, if your application is approved and the cat has completed all their vet work, they can go home with you straight after the meet and greet (an adoption fee is payable). Adoption paperwork will follow.
-Settling-In Period & Adoption Finalisation. Every adoption includes a two-week settling-in period from the time of adoption. If, for any reason, your new cat isnโt the right fit for your home, you can return them within this period for a 50% refund of the adoption fee.
-All of our cats come microchipped, desexed, with one or more vaccinations, and will be lifetime registered. Depending on their age, kittens may need their second (and potentially third) vaccination undertaken by the adopter after adoption. The transfer of ownership is completed as soon as possible.
Adoption fees:
-Kittens: $325
-Cats 1 - 3 Years: $275
-Cats 3 Years+: $200
All adoptions will also carry a $35 lifetime registration fee on top of the adoption price.
