Rusty

This peppy little lady is looking for a mature family to dote on her!
Though she is just over 6 years of age, Rusty is a bubbly and energetic little dog. She is very social with people and is always excited to make a new friend. On the other hand, Rusty can be quite naughty when it comes to other animals, and needs to be the only pet in her new home.
Little Rusty has gotten into the habit of spinning in circles when she gets excited or stimulated. It's important that she isn't allowed or encouraged to do this, as it could become a more obsessive behaviour down the track.
In order to manage this, we have been clicker training her to teach new behaviours that will reduce the spinning, including sit, drop, going to a mat, foot targeting and nose targeting. Her new owners will need to continue with this training, as well as being able to pick her up several times a day to stop her from circling if necessary.
Rusty would do best in a quiet, adult-only home to avoid too much constant excitement.
