About Lyra (66290)
Lyra is a 2-year-old Maremma with a heart as gentle as her fluffy coat. This sweet girl came to us as a stray and is still learning that the world-and people-can be kind. Shy and sensitive, Lyra needs a patient home that understands the slow-and-steady approach, where she can bloom in her own time. She's good with other calm, polite dogs and may enjoy the company of a well-matched adult male dog. Breed experience is preferred, as Lyra is still working on feeling comfortable with touch and lead walking. She hasn't been tested with cats or pocket pets, and while she may suit quiet, respectful older children, she'd likely be happiest in a child-free home. Please submit an application via our website.

Please note it is compulsory that we meet any existing dogs with the GAWS dog of interest to help ensure a good match for all involved. In addition, all household members are required to attend the meet and greet to assess the dog's interaction.
