About Daisy
Meet Daisy - A Gentle Soul Ready to Bloom
Daisy is a 1-year-old Kelpie x Husky with a tender heart and a shy but sweet nature. Life hasn't always been easy for this gentle girl, and she's still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. But behind her initial nervousness is a kind and affectionate dog just waiting for the right people to help her blossom.
When Daisy first arrived, she was quite wary and hesitant in the shelter environment. New people and surroundings can still be overwhelming for her, but with time, patience, and a calm approach, she begins to relax and show her softer, more playful side. Once she feels safe, Daisy becomes noticeably more confident and even enjoys gentle play and affection.
Daisy's body language speaks volumes-she starts off a little stiff and unsure but gradually loosens up with encouragement and positive reinforcement. Her interactions with other dogs have improved as she's gained confidence. She was initially uncertain when approached, but given the chance to settle and meet dogs at her own pace, she has shown interest in play and has successfully enjoyed off-lead time with another gentle dog. This progress suggests that, with the right dog companion and a slow introduction, Daisy could do well in a home with another calm, social dog.
She'll need continued socialisation and training in her new home. Basic obedience and confidence-building exercises will help her feel more secure and connected to her people. At the moment, she's a little unsure on lead and headshy, but with patience and consistency, she will thrive.
Daisy would do best in a quiet, adult-only home or with older, dog-savvy children who can give her the time she needs to settle in and trust. Her ideal family will be kind, gentle, and understanding-willing to let her come out of her shell at her own pace.
With love, reassurance, and stability, Daisy is sure to become a loyal and affectionate companion. She's already shown how much progress she can make when given the chance-now she just needs someone willing to take that journey with her. If you're looking for a sweet, sensitive dog to share your heart and home, Daisy is ready to meet you.
