About Eddie
Eddie has one big story, and even bigger foot fluffs! đ
We got a notification that there was a very strange looking pigeon all the way out in Shepparton, who seemed very lost and confused. Luckily one of our volunteers were over that way the next day and they were able to pick up Eddie and travel all the way back down to Melbourne to be taken in by FFPR!
Eddie is a very fancy breed of pigeon called the Bokhara trumpeter, and he definitely did not belong in the streets of Shepparton. After a few pedicure and grooming sessions, Eddie is now looking for a home.
He is an extremely gentle boy, and we assume he is quite young so perhaps as he matures a bit would be quite excited for a lady friend! Eddie would like an aviary outside or to be inside with another pigeon friend with an owner who respects his boundaries (he is more of a look donât touch pigeon, but doesnât mind the occasional pat)
Due to Eddieâs âfoot fluffiesâ (Muffs), he will need some extra care tending to the feathers down there and making sure they stay clipped so he can walk properly, and be monitored for broken blood feathers which are unfortunately very common in long muffed birds.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
