Meet Biscotti,
This sweet little lady got her name because when she was found, all she did was make biscuits - non-stop. To this day, Biscotti is still a professional kneader, working away with her paws like she’s prepping for a baking competition. We think it's her way of staying calm and cosy in her world.
Biscotti is a gentle soul with a heart full of softness. She's quiet, a bit shy, and easily overwhelmed by too much noise or hustle and bustle. But behind that timid nature is a curious and affectionate cat who just needs a little time to feel safe. Once she trusts you, Biscotti will shower you with her love in the quietest, sweetest ways - slow blinks, soft head bumps, purring and of course... even more biscuits.
She’s looking for a calm, peaceful home with an experienced cat person who understands sensitive hearts and slow steps. If you’ve got a patient heart, Biscotti might be the perfect little baker to share it with.
Biscotti is open to meet kids from 10 years old and up. She'll tolerate being picked up and carried but is nervous and tense when all four paws are not on the ground. She needs a little extra time to build up that trust. Biscotti loves human attention - she loves to be patted and touched - she loves her cheeks and chin being scratched and enjoys gentle head pats and ear scratches.
As we cannot test in this environment, we are unsure how Biscotti would go living with dogs. This would be up to the discretion of her new owners.
As for cats, Biscotti seems interested in making friends. We encourage anyone with existing cats to do a gradual and supervised introduction over a few days to ensure that both cats have the best chance of becoming friends.
We always encourage cats to be indoor cats. Biscotti has already experienced living on the streets and she enjoys being inside where she feels safe. If she is outside, it will increase her chances of running away, getting lost, injured, or worse. As an inside cat she can live her best life possible.
Biscotti has low-range energy levels and is not interested in toys or playing - she prefers a warm spot, a nice bed, and a soft blanket so that she can snuggle and snooze the days away without a care or worry in the world.
Biscotti is not fussy with her food and she won't say no to a treat or two either. Food is the way to her heart as it makes her very happy!
Staff Comments: Biscotti is very sweet but shy. We feel that she would give excellent massages, given how good her biscuit making skills are! She can be nervous being held/picked up but this won't stop her from purring or making biscuits.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
The adoption fee for dogs covers C5 vaccination, health check, heartworm testing, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
