About Rusty
Rusty is a 10-year-old Pomeranian thay came into our care after the passing of his devoted owner, and while his world has changed dramatically, Rusty is holding onto hope that someone out there will give him a second chance.
Understandably, Rusty is shy and cautious in new environments, his trust needs to be earned, but once he feels safe, he becomes a deeply affectionate and loyal little companion. He thrives in calm, predictable surroundings and is looking for a patient and understanding person who can offer him the gentle reassurance he needs to feel comfortable again.
Rusty has been diagnosed with heart disease, which means he'll need to remain on lifelong medication to help manage his condition. While this may sound overwhelming, The Lost Dogs' Home Vet Hospital is here to help-offering ongoing financial support for Rusty's medical care for the rest of his life. Although we can't predict exactly how much time Rusty has left, our vets believe he could enjoy some wonderful years ahead in the right home filled with love, comfort, and care.
Rusty is looking for a very special home - one where he can be the center of your world. He's not keen on sharing his space with other pets or young children, and we respect that. He deserves a peaceful, stable environment where he can truly relax and feel at ease.
Adopting Rusty means opening your heart to a senior dog who's weathered loss and change, but still has so much love left to give. If you can offer a quiet, loving home to a little dog with special medical needs - and a very special soul, please consider giving Rusty the life he so deeply deserves.
Because while Rusty's heart may need medication, what it really needs most... is you.
Come down to The Lost Dogs' Home in North Melbourne to meet Rusty today.
