Hi! I’m Prince and I’m looking for a new family to call my own.

NOTE: You are unable to meet Prince until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Prince in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.

What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• To be allowed inside with my family
. I would love to go to a home with another calm and gentle dog who matches my energy levels although we would need to be fed separately.
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent) the whole way around the backyard is a MUST or someone who is willing to keep me inside when im left alone.
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• Lots of love and attention
• Doggy daycare and group socialisation classes would be highly beneficial for me.
• I LOVE LOVE LOVE people, so if i am to be an only dog someone who lets me inside, takes me on adventures and doesn't leave me for long hours is preferred.

Things that I don’t want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• No young children as i can flinch with sudden movements/loud noises, older children who can be calm and gentle with me will be okay.
. I appear scared of cats at the shelter but as my confidence grows around them i may find them fun to chase.

My best features:
• Wiggle butt
• Highly food motivated
• Gentle & placid
• I can sit & stay
• I have had some basic obedience training and am a generally well-mannered dog
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• I walk well on lead
• Exuberant & full of beans
• Well mannered

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I can be fearful of dogs that are too full on for me so i will need some positive interactions with other dogs to build my confidence levels up.
• I love my food & toys so using them as a positive reward should make my training easier.
. I am can flinch with sudden hand movements so i will need a family who is patient and loving who will show me that i can trust humans again.
