About George 🏡Shih Tzu x Yorkie, (On Trial 30/6/25)
George is an 11-month-old Shih Tzu x Yorkshire Terrier (“Shorkie”). This sweet little guy is non-shedding, full of love, and has a happy smile for everyone he meets. 🌞
🎉 Personality Plus - George will keep you entertained with his funny antics! He loves:
• Playing tug-of-war
• Doing zoomies around the yard
• Chasing balls
• Playing with his toys
💝 George’s biggest joy in life is being with people. He’ll follow you around and snuggle up beside you for a belly rub on the couch. He welcomes visitors with tail wagging enthusiasm!
🐾 He’s still learning not to jump on people so not suited to live with children under 12. Being part terrier, he’d probably chase cats.
🐶 Dog-Friendly – George gets along well with other dogs. He’s currently living with two small senior dogs, though they’re not interested in playing with him, he tries anyway. At the dog park, he’s friendly and sociable. In fact, George would really thrive with a friendly, playful doggy sibling in his forever home!
🏡 Indoor Dog -
• House-trained and learning the doggie door.
• Not a nuisance barker.
• Confident and independent – doesn’t fret when left alone for a part of the day. If you work full time he’d need a doggy friend.
• He needs a backyard to run and play in so, sorry, no apartments.
✅ Very smart -
• He can sit and wait for food.
• Is learning to come when called.
• Walks well on a lead.
• Stays close by if you drop the lead — unless there’s a game of chase to join in!
✂ George has a gorgeous silky, shiny coat that doesn’t shed — ideal for people with allergies. He just needs a bit of a brush every few days, bathing every few weeks and professional clipping every 4 to 8 weeks. He is small, weighing only 6kgs, making him perfect for cuddles and lap time!
🐶 George is a loving, joyful, loyal companion looking for a family who’ll laugh, play, and snuggle with him. He’ll fill your home with happiness and heart.
⭐️ George is in foster care in Eleebana, NSW (Lake Macquarie). He is available for adoption to NSW and ACT. His adoption fee is $1,100 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and microchipped.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:

(2) If the questionnaire is approved, we will arrange a property check so we
can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) Next, we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster
carer's home or at a nearby park.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay the adoption fee*, sign the NSW change of ownership form and our DRN Adoption Agreement and take your new family member home! The two week trial period begins on the day of adoption.
*We prefer payment by funds transfer and don't accept cash or personal
cheques.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
