About Winnie - 8 Month Old Bordoodle
Winnie is a clever, affectionate girl with a big heart and an even bigger brain. She’s incredibly eager to learn, thrives on mental stimulation, and loves a good sniffari walk to exercise that busy nose and even busier mind. Once she bonds with her humans, it’s deep and fast – she becomes your biggest fan and most loyal shadow.
Winnie has moderate anxiety and needs slow, gentle introductions to new people and places. Sudden sounds or overwhelming environments can unsettle her, so a calm, consistent routine and patient humans are essential. She would do best in a quiet home where she can build confidence at her own pace.
Due to her resource guarding behaviours – particularly around food and her bonded humans – Winnie is looking for a home without young children or other pets. With the right support and ongoing positive reinforcement, this smart cookie has so much potential to blossom into a well-balanced companion.
To set her up for success, Winnie’s adoption includes two sessions with Eve, the Principal Behaviourist from Dogaholics, to help her new family feel confident and equipped with the right tools to continue her training and help her settle into her new environment.
Winnie will thrive with someone who understands dog body language, is committed to ongoing training, and will give her the time and space she needs to feel safe. She’s not a first-time dog owner’s pup, but she is the perfect pup for someone who values connection, growth, and a deep canine bond.
