About Reggie (On Trial)
Reggie went on trial in a new home on 9/7/11. Pls consider our other dogs at www. Dogrescuenewcastle. Com. Au such as cattle dogs ruby, bandit and suki. . . Reggie is an adorable 3yo cattle dog x. He is small, only 16 kg. Reggie is deaf, but his charm makes up for this. He knows some sign language. He came to rescue covered in cigarette burns. He has no tail from being hit by a car, which together with his soft fur and gentle nature, makes him seem like a cuddly teddy bear. . . . His past troubles do not stop him enjoying life now. Despite all that has happened to him, he loves people and has a big heart. He has stayed with his foster carers for the past year or more, but it is time to for reggie to find his forever home. Though he loves other dogs and enjoys a game, sometimes his deafness makes him misread the cues from the other foster dogs (our own dogs are used to him). We’ll miss him greatly; he’s a wonderful little companion and a genuine character. . . He has learnt some sign language to help communicate. He is very obedient for a deaf dog, he comes when the sign is given. Unlike most cattle dogs, reggie does not require excessive exercise. His deafness makes it easy to go out. He will sleep till you get back. . . Reggie has a loving giving nature, and would make a great companion for someone who is homebound for long periods or an older couple. He is a great car traveller; he sleeps most of the way. So who would be ideal to take on long car or caravan trips. He does not get nervous when there is lightning or loud storm. He is not fussy with his food. . . Reggie is not a high maintenance dog, he loves to sit next to you and get a pat; he will soon fall asleep sitting up. He is such a gentle soul. Reggie walks well on a slack lead. Reggie is wonderful dog with a big heart and lots of love to give. . . Dog rescue newcastle www. Dogrescuenewcastle. Com. Au is a not-for-profit, volunteer organisation. We are only asking for a small donation for reggie of say $50. He is desexed, vaccinated, flea and worm treatments up to date, microchipped, and lifetime registered. . . . Reggie is in foster care in ourimbah, nsw (northern end of central coast) and is available for adoption interstate.
