Meet Hugo, a charming 8-year-old Irish Terrier with a heart as big as Brisbane, where he currently resides. At 15kg, Hugo is a bundle of gentle energy who's clearly ready to find a home filled with love and warmth. He’s been fully vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, and wormed, making him the picture of responsibility and readiness for a new adventure with his future family.
Hugo is a gentle boy who gets along well with everyone, whether they're cats, dogs, or children. His friendly nature makes him a perfect match for families looking to add a loyal and loving companion to their household. He's unfailingly good-natured, and if you have a normal, secure fence, your backyard will become his safe haven.
While he may have faced tough times in the past, Hugo has previously had a bout of pancreatitis and he is now on a low fat diet
He has also had his spleen removed due to trauma and he was debarked .
Hugo sometimes has itchy skin but we think this is due to poor diet and lack of love and general care.
He has a sad history of neglect but is on the path to a good life. Hugo’s resilient spirit shines through his loving personality. What Hugo needs most is a calm and nurturing environment where he can finally receive the care and affection that he deserves. With a little patience and a lot of love, Hugo will fill your home with joy and companionship.
For $895, you can bring Hugo into your life, offering him a stable environment where he can thrive. He truly deserves to be cherished and will undoubtedly give back tenfold in love and devotion. If calm nurturing and shared adventures sound like your cup of tea, then Hugo is waiting to become your new best friend.

Here are some quick tips to make your APPLICATION stand out:
Include as many details as you can about your lifestyle, family, accommodation, and work. Here’s some first-hand feedback from our member rescue organisations about what they'd like to see in your applications:
🐱 Why would this animal suit your home? (This lets them know that you've read the pet’s bio and considered their personality vs. your lifestyle)
🐾 Details about your family
🏡 Is your home quiet/relaxed or loud/busy? (Particularly important for timid cats). Ask questions, to show your are interested in the animals ell being.
Add questions into the application.
Fill out the profiles of your current pets if you have any. Understanding the personality of resident cats and dogs will help rescue organisations or foster carers determine if the pet will adjust to your surroundings.
Remember to be respectful and kind in your enquiries. A simple greeting can go a long way! Behind that screen is a real hooman, who loves and cares for the pet you're enquiring about just as much as you will!
Be open and honest - rescues prefer having as much information as they can about potential adopters.
An adoption fee applies to each animal to cover only the basic veterinary procedures, and each adoption goes out on a 21 day settling in period, if the dog is returned in this period, and you’ve spoken to our trainer for assistance, and the dog is returned in good health, mentally and physically, and all their belongings and paperwork are returned, then we provide a refund less $50 admin fee. This is not a trial, but in case of any unknown or unforeseen circumstances.
The adoption process is as follows
✅Everyone that lives in the home will meet the dog with the carer
✅We ask everyone go home again and discuss and think about overnight and contact us the next day
✅This also gives the carer a chance to think about suitability
✅Then if everyone agrees we then require a home inspection, or at least photos of the home yard and fences.
✅Then the adoption fee is paid and once that clears our account you are free to arrange with the carer to collect
✅The adoption paperwork comes out in 14 days in which time you are required to register and change chip over
