About Howie
Howie, the charming and sociable French Bulldog who has quickly become known as the friendly Frenchie in the neighbourhood.
With a medium activity level, Howie is the perfect balance of playful energy and laid-back relaxation. He is always up for a cuddle session with anyone willing to offer one, and he absolutely adores sleeping in whenever he gets the chance. This lovable little guy has a touch of sass that adds to his endearing personality, but overall, he is incredibly easygoing and a joy to have around the house.
Howie has a few favorite pastimes that bring him immense joy. He absolutely loves munching on pig ears, which are his go-to treat. Being a lap dog is another one of his favorite activities, and he can often be found snuggling up on someone’s lap, basking in the warmth and affection. Howie also enjoys staring out the window, observing the world go by with great curiosity. Daily walks are a highlight for him, providing an opportunity to explore and stretch his legs.
When it comes to human interaction, Howie is a social butterfly. He simply can’t get enough of people and will eagerly greet anyone he meets. Within minutes, he becomes comfortable and makes himself at home, charming everyone with his friendly demeanor. His love for humans knows no bounds, and he thrives on the companionship and attention they provide. He does not like the energy of young children so will not be rehomed to where young children live or visit.
Howie is house trained, although he may have a few accidents when adjusting to a new environment. He has learned to sit patiently and wait for the command to eat his dinner, demonstrating his willingness to follow instructions. Howie takes treats gently, showcasing his polite manners. However, he can sometimes be a bit stubborn when being told “no,” but overall, he is a quiet and well-behaved companion. Occasionally, when he is bored and ready for a walk, he may engage in a little bit of chewing, but this is easily managed with regular exercise.
Howie is a social dog who loves playing with other dogs. However, his play style can be a bit rough, so he needs companions who can handle his exuberance.
On walks, he is eager to approach other dogs but never barks at them, displaying his friendly nature.
Unfortunately, Howie is not a fan of cats and does delight in chasing birds during walks, cheeky boy. He would most likely love something like a flirt pole to engage in play.
While Howie is capable of staying outside on his own without any issues, he much prefers being inside, snuggled up as a lap dog with whoever is willing to give him cuddles.
His affectionate nature makes him a wonderful companion for those who enjoy having a furry friend by their side.
Howie’s diet consists of a small amount of dry biscuits during the day, which are mixed with tuna or kangaroo meat at night. He has a fondness for treats and absolutely loves pig ears, which are a special indulgence for him.
Howie has an easy-to-maintain coat with short, wiry hair that is simple to brush. Toilet trained
When it comes to sleeping, Howie has a few favorite spots. He may choose to sleep at the end of the bed, curled up next to you, or even behind your pillow. On cold days, he is content to sleep all day if there is nothing else to do, and he easily drifts off to sleep at night, relishing the opportunity to sleep in whenever possible.
Howie is an excellent traveler and does great in the car, making him a wonderful companion for road trips and adventures.
Howie happy and well-behaved, daily exercise is essential. Without a daily walk, he may become bored and a bit cheeky. He enjoys a 40-minute walk in the afternoon, but he would also benefit from a morning walk to expend some of his energy.
Inside the home, Howie is a sleepy boy who loves being a lap dog. He enjoys having long snoozes and occasionally runs around by himself with a toy.
At 1.5 years of age, he can get a bit cheeky and may get into things he shouldn’t, but overall, he is an extremely easy dog to have around.
Setting him up for success ( Adoption Criteria)
To set him up for success we feel the most suitable home is as follows

He thrives in an environment where someone is home, as he prefers to be inside and enjoys being a lap dog.
He is ok outside alone for periods of time Daily walks are a must.
Howie would love to have another dog friend, but they should be able to handle his rough play style.
