Experience: Former working dog – recently made redundant due to being too soft for the ag industry (not bitter, just ready for something new).
G’day! My name’s Rocky. I used to give the whole farm life a red-hot crack, but turns out I’m more into snuggles than sheep. My working days might be behind me, but I’ve got loads to offer in a new role as a loyal companion, food enthusiast, and professional foot-warmer (or lap preferably).
I’ve got a solid skillset:
- I know how to sit, drop, and come when called
- I’m toilet trained (cleanliness is next to dogliness, after all)
- I’m working hard on calmly walking on a lead and stay—thanks to some top-shelf foster care support
- I LOVE food—treats are my love language
- I'm incredibly affectionate—there’s no such thing as too many cuddles in my book
My ideal job would involve:
- A warm bed (crate is fine—already sneak in there at night anyway)
- A patient human or family to keep me company and help me keep improving
- Maybe a friendly doggy colleague or two
- A workplace with no cats or chickens, please. I’ve got a bit of a... let’s call it occupational hazard when it comes to chasing them.
When I’m not snoozing or snacking, I enjoy a play with my foster brothers or a quiet cuddle with my human. I’m gentle at heart, full of love, and just waiting for someone to take me off the job market.

Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. We offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
