About Chirp Hammet
Chirp Hammett came to us from a mixed-gender aviary of eight birds. While she doesn’t have a bonded mate, she’s often seen socialising with three of her blue male flockmates, who all seem quite keen to win her affection!
It's unclear whether Chirp was used for breeding in the past, but based on the information we received, it’s possible she has offspring out in the world.
Chirp is a calm and gentle bird. While she isn’t hand-tame, she’s more relaxed around people than many aviary birds, and with time and patience may become more confident in a home setting. Chirp will require a budgie friend, and would not suit being a solo bird.
She currently enjoys a balanced diet of crumbles, seeds, and fresh vegetables. She previously had been on an all seed diet, and is currently exercising in the aviary to become more fit.
Chirp and her flockmates have been cleared on a combined chlamydia and faecal test.
Pick up available in Carrum Downs and Scoresby.

Adoption details
Adoption Process – Lazzi’s Legacy Bird Rescue & Sanctuary Inc.
Rescue – Rehabilitation – Rehome
Our adoption process begins with an email conversation, including a series of questions designed to help us learn more about you and your home environment. This helps us ensure the best possible match between you and one of our birds.
Once we have identified a suitable bird, a four-week foster period will begin. This trial allows you and the bird to adjust and determine if it’s the right fit. If things don’t work out, you may either trial another bird or choose to have your adoption fee refunded.
If the bird settles in well and you decide to become their forever home—congratulations!
