Meet Ella – the Blue Beauty with a Big Heart 💙
Ella is a stunning blue greyhound with a heart as soft as her silky ears. She’s affectionate, well-behaved, house-trained, and a little more active than your average couch potato (though she loves a comfy bed – especially yours, if you don't watch out!).
She adores her humans, walks beautifully on the lead, comes when called, and adjusts quickly to new places.
Ella likes to be the centre of attention, enjoys being patted and is great with grooming. She is learning kitchen boundaries with a cheeky curiosity. Ella is currently in foster with another greyhound and she is friendly with other hounds and content with short times left alone; she’s truly adapted to family life like a pro.
If you’re looking for a loving shadow with a waggy tail and a gorgeous blue coat, Ella’s ready to lean into your life – and your heart. 💕
[Note: Under Victorian Law greyhounds must be on-leash at all times in public areas, including in off-leash parks or ovals]

Adoption details
Step 1 – Complete an application form

Step 2 – If your circumstances suit a dog, we will call you for a chat to provide you with more information about the dog and answer any questions you may have. If you wish to proceed with the adoption we will arrange a time for a Meet & Greet and a home yard inspection to ensure adequate fencing and shelter is provided for the dog.
Step 3 - A meet and greet will be held with your family and any other pets you may have. All dogs are to be met in person.
Step 4 - If all parties are happy to proceed with the adoption, the adoption fee is to be paid and you will have a 14 day trial period. If at any time in that 14 days you find you cannot keep your dog, they can be returned to R2R and the adoption fee refunded less an admin fee.
At the time of adoption you will receive an adoption pack which will include:-
- Collar & Lead
- Muzzle
- Polar Fleece Coat
- Certificate of Sterilisation
- Certificate of Vaccination
- Information on caring for your greyhound
- Worming & Flea treatment dates
- Access to our private Facebook page for R2R Adopters and volunteers
