About Sheba
Introducing Sheba, a super affectionate and clever Ridgeback mix, born on 11 December 2024.
Sheba is happily sharing a foster home with school-age children, other dogs and cats. She loves playing games in the backyard with her humans and canine mates. She specialises in zoomies around the yard, complete with a toy in tow, and will eagerly show you her toy of the day. At playtime, she's exuberant so is probably not a suitable playmate for the very young.
She's a star pupil in obedience. She knows how to sit, drop and shake. Her foster mum says she is a very intelligent girl, who is eager to learn new things and is gentle when taking treats.
She's crate and house-trained, making her transition into a forever home an easy one.
Sheba loves everyone, but is particularly fond of men. Sheba thinks she’s a lapdog and will happily take every cuddle on offer, especially if it means climbing onto her foster dad’s lap.
She enjoys meeting new people, walks well on a lead and is great in the car. She's never too far away from her humans. Although she's a typically active youngster, she is quite happy chilling out at home, too.
She will do best in the home of an experienced owner, ideally someone with breed specific knowledge, who understands she's a very clever youngster who'll push the boundaries and needs ongoing guidance to reach her full potential. Although she is dog-friendly, she can be a bit bossy and may take some time to adjust to her new canine friends.
Her ideal home is one where she is regarded as an integral member of the family. She is definitely not suited to a solitary life in the backyard. She would make a loving and loyal companion for a family, a couple or a singleton. As always, secure fencing is essential.
