Meet Akahai – Your New Best Friend (and Snack Supervisor)

Akahai is a beautiful girl with a heart as big as her paws and a tail that could probably start its own percussion band. Equal parts playful goofball and professional snuggler, this doe-eyed darling is looking for her forever home – preferably one with another medium-to-large dog who’s ready for daily wrestling matches, zoomies, and a good old-fashioned nap pile.

She’s got the softest fur you’ll ever bury your face into and a gaze so sweet it should come with a warning label. Akahai is toilet trained, travels like a dream (windows down, ears flapping), and has impeccable manners when it comes to furniture. Clothes and couches are safe. Your unattended sandwich on the kitchen bench, however? Absolutely not. Akahai is food-driven with a capital F. Her new family will need to be savvy about keeping the counters clear and bins secure—she’s tall, sneaky, and not above using her charm (or her reach) to score a snack. On the plus side, she’ll do literally anything for a treat, which makes training a breeze.

She’s great on the lead, but she’s still a big, strong girl—ideal for someone who can handle a little enthusiastic tug now and then. She loves dogs, loves people, and will gently bark at you if you forget she exists for more than two minutes. If you’ve got space in your heart (and on your couch), Akahai might just be the perfect addition to your pack.
