About Daphne
*In foster care in Annandale, Sydney*
Daphne is a gorgeous ginger-and-white kitten with a big personality and an even bigger purr! She truly sounds like a little engine when she’s happy, which is often :)
Clever and brave, with no shortage of confidence, Daphne is definitely the boss in her friendship with her foster brother Henry. She's always the first to figure things out, whether it’s climbing onto high shelves, opening cupboard doors or sussing where the treats are hidden. She has a special fondness for diving into the laundry basket on unspecified secret missions - all involving pulling out the clothes piece by piece - then slinking away after being told off, before jumping straight back in to continue her investigation the second you're gone. She'd be a natural CSI!
We expect Daphne to fit perfectly into any type of household - with one person or many, young and old. She’s got a special bond with her foster carer's grandma and loves curling up next to her while she talks. Daphne listens so sweetly, like she’s taking it all in :)
Like all Maggie's pets, Daphne is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: I’d adore a home with lots of stuff to keep me busy - shelves to climb, windows to watch from, and toys to chase. I do really well with calm, gentle humans, especially those who enjoy a bit of feline company while they read, relax or chat.
I’d also love another friendly cat to bond with - especially if it’s someone like Henry who's happy to let me be in charge! Here's his profile if you'd like to consider taking us home together: https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/1127642
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I'm the perfect mix of curious and cuddly! Chasing toys, jumping onto high furniture, and taking Henry on adventures around the house are some of my favourite activities. I’m always the first to explore new spaces or figure out how to reach that sunny windowsill. But I also have a calm, contented energy and can snooze with the best of them.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I’d be fine with kids, enthusiastic ones included. I’m very tolerant and I don’t mind noise or attention, even if it’s a bit over-the-top sometimes!
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: My foster brother Henry is my best friend! I enjoy planning our missions and showing him how things work, and he's content to follow my lead :)
While I haven’t lived with dogs before, I’m super-confident and easygoing, so I reckon I’d thrive in a home with other pets!

We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
