Tiki is very enthusiastic about socializing, playing, chasing, and rough-and-tumbling with other dogs. He does bark and growl and get his hackles up around some bigger dogs. He comes when called and knows his name. He has not been tested with cats yet. He looks at birds and seems interested, but has not chased them, as this has only been when on a leash.

I believe Tiki would be happiest sharing his home time with another small or medium dog to play with. When I arrive home or a visitor arrives, he does not bark or whine. He jumps up a little but also responds when told to get down. He knows how to sit and fetch balls, bringing them right back to your feet and dropping them. He sometimes wants to tug with a ball or rope for fun. He would be best suited in a home with a medium to large backyard to run, zoom, and fetch balls in.

I have taught him to go through a dog training tunnel, and as he is very bright, he would be easily taught to do lots of things. On a static leash with a harness, he pulls a bit but walks next to you sometimes.

He loves walking. He will pull to smell and to make contact with other dogs. He is initially tentative meeting other dogs, but quickly makes friends without growling unless it's a large dog and hes a bit unsure. He will wait before being told to eat his dinner. He likes to sit at the table with you and sniff, but does not jump up or beg, and can be told to get back and sit away.

Tiki has a lot of energy to walk and run, and then sleeps for a long time afterwards. He likes to cuddle on the couch and, if allowed, in bed. He is not afraid of travelling in a vehicle and does not make noise.

He is a very playful dog in the morning and afternoon, and for the rest of the time, enjoys playing with toys or sleeping next to you on the couch. He is very friendly to all humans, young and old, and is very clever. Tiki loves belly rubs and pats on the neck. He has been a delight to have as a foster dog.
