About Gertie
This little Pekingese is 7 yrs old. She has come from a ‘breeder’
Gertie is a shy little flower when you first meet her but she’ll be your devoted friend if you give her attention in a slow gentle way and win her over with lots of little treats. She would do very well in a household with other pets that are not too physically aggressive. She is used to cats and lots of other dogs around her. No signs of dominant behaviour, she would make a wonderful addition to any household and has quickly learned to model your behaviour. She walks well on a lead and harness and loves a snuggle on the couch.
Gertie is on the Northside of Brisbane.
She is getting desexed on Monday 23rd June.
Someone that has experience with this breed or shihtzu.
Her coat has been a little neglected and guardian is doing her best to keep on top of it.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
Adoption details
We shortlist and contact families who may fit the dogs needs. If indications are positive, normally after sleeping on it, a home check is organised, then an adoption agreement is completed, adoption donation (variable on account of age and health of individual dog) is transferred and the dog will become part of your family.
All our dogs have had a consultation with our vet, are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and treated for fleas. As we want every dog to be in its own family we try and fit dogs into forever homes, we don’t offer “Trials”. Naturally unforeseen circumstances arise occasionally where it’s preferable dogs come back to us as per our adoption agreement.
