About Pepi
Pepi – The Sweetest Little Comeback Kid!
Looking for a best mate with smarts, snuggles, and serious survivor spirit? Meet Pepi – a 5-month-old Border Collie x Cattle Dog mix who’s left a rough start behind and is absolutely thriving in foster care!
Pepi is clever, affectionate, and full of charm. He’s already proven he’s got the heart of a hero after beating the odds and bouncing back from a tough beginning – including a battle with parvo. Now, this cheeky little legend is all about belly rubs, learning new things, and soaking up the good life with people who make him feel safe.
He can be a bit reactive (barking) when meeting new people or pups, but once he’s had a moment to suss things out, he’ll be your shadow and your snuggle buddy. He loves a cuddle (and wouldn’t say no to a spot on the bed!) but he’s just as happy hanging out nearby, soaking up the company.
Pepi gets along well with other dogs and would love a playful dog sibling to pal around with. He’s lived with confident cats too – he may give chase if they run, but a bold, dog-savvy feline could be a good fit for his goofy, playful nature.
Like most pups, Pepi’s still working on his toilet training and learning the ropes of life, but he’s a good boy who’s eager to please. He’ll thrive in a calm but active home where his brain and body get a good daily workout and where he’s encouraged to keep building confidence and learning new commands.
If you’re ready to welcome a sweet, loyal pup who’s already overcome so much and has so much love to give, Pepi might just be your perfect match. He’s ready to start his next chapter—could it be with you?
Medical notes
Pepi is in good health. He is a chubby, happy little guy! He has however survived parvovirus and although we don't expect this to have any serious long term affects on his health, he does tend to have a sensitive tummy and can occasionally have loose bowel movements if his diet changes or he eats new treats etc. This can be managed with a pro-biotic and/or just being aware of not introducing new foods too suddenly. In all other respects he's a normal 5 month old pup.
