About Mixie
š¾ Meet Mixie - A Gentle Tabby Looking for Her Quiet Forever š”
About Mixie:
Mixie is a soft-hearted tabby girl with a sweet soul and gentle spirit. At just 1.5 years old, she's still young, but her quiet nature makes her a perfect fit for a peaceful home. She's shy at first and takes time to trust, but once she feels safe, she blossoms into a loving, loyal companion.
She's not a fan of loud noises, busy spaces, or other animals-but give her a calm environment, a cozy blanket, and someone who respects her boundaries, and she'll reward you with head bumps, soft purrs, and quiet affection.
What Mixie Needs:
A patient adopter who understands shy cats
A calm home.
A cozy spot to retreat to when she needs comfort
Someone who will go at her pace-and celebrate every small moment of trust
Why Adopt Mixie?
Because watching a shy cat learn to love and trust you is one of the most rewarding experiences in the world. Mixie may never be the life of the party, but she'll be the quiet, steady presence who warms your heart and makes your house feel like home.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
