Meet Terfel,

Goofy, handsome with just a touch of fomo. He might take a moment to warm up to new people but once he does he is a barrel of wiggles and kisses. He likes hanging out with other dogs and his people.

He has developed cherry eye (a gland in the third eyelid protrudes), this is fixable but he needs to grow a bit more before he has the surgery. It is common in breeds like cane corsos and is hereditary. His mum Opera also has cherry eye so we aren’t surprised he (and some of his siblings) have developed it. It doesn’t bother him at all but he does require lubricating eye drops to be given a couple of times a day to keep the eye moist and healthy. Vets recommend we wait until he is around 6 months old before the surgery. We would love to find him a forever home now so he can grow up with his new family. As it is a pre existing condition starting over dog rescue will cover the cost of his future surgery.

There's no denying these baby superstars are incredibly cute when puppies but prioritising training, consistency and socialisation is key with this breed mix. Intelligent, 'strong-willed', with often sensitive natures, Opera's puppies will need consistent direction/expectations set and positive engagement from a young age. This relationship building will support their development into balanced, happy large breed dogs.
