About JJ
***WE'RE ALWAYS ON THE LOOKOUT FOR FOSTER CARERS TO HELP US OUT SO IF YOU THINK YOU CAN PROVIDE A TEMPORARY HOME FOR ONE OF OUR BEAUTIFUL CATS PLEASE LET US KNOW. THE MORE CARERS WE HAVE AVAILABLE TO LEND A HAND THE MORE CATS WE CAN HELP REHOME***
Gorgeous little JJ is very sweet, very loving and just adores human company. He wants nothing more than to be around his favourite people.
JJ was well loved by his previous people but sadly due to a dramatic change in their life they were forced to find him a new home and we were naturally more than happy to help. JJ comes from a loving household and has a love of love to give.
JJ is a very introverted cat who is always in the mood for cuddle and will wear you like a safety blanket. He's the type of cat that always wants to be around you and be part of whatever you are doing. He enjoys sitting on laps or legs, he also really enjoys sleeping on his favourite person’s body at night. He can either sleep on your arm/shoulder, back or stomach. He is a big purrer and often drools when he’s happy.
He is a very big lover, and his favourite toys are fish shaped, and he really enjoys catnip. JJ also enjoys sleeping under blankets especially on beds and he also likes to have a cat bed in a place that is more secluded for his “me time”. His previous owner had a fluffy cat bed under their my desk in the study.
He is really into getting in your space if you’re doing work on the laptop, reading a book or any other activity. He just wants to be with you!

JJ does have anxiety, especially around new or changed environments, and can take time to warm up to new people, so it will most likely take him a little while to settle into his new home. He's also not a big fan of being picked up.
He is used to being around other cats as he has grown up with his foster brother Painter, and is currently in a foster home with multiple pets, but a home without any other pets would probably be the way to go for little JJ.
JJ is very people motivated so we would like to find him a nice quiet home with a retiree, homebody or someone that works from home, who's looking for an super affectionate companion.
Oh and he's also a very chunky monkey so if you're looking for a chubby ball of love then he's the cat for you :)
JJ is approximately 7 years old and has been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and is available for adoption right meow.
If you think you have the room in your heart and your home to provide this gorgeous little soul with a great life please let us know and we’ll be more than happy to arrange a time for you to meet and fall in love with him.

A little about us:
Urban Feline Australia is a newly established cat rescue service, run by one passionate individual with the help of friends and volunteers, that is dedicated to keeping cats out of kill shelters and helping them find loving forever homes. We specialize in helping "surrenders" which are cats that have lived with humans previously but for one reason or another their owners are unfortunately no longer able to look after them. We take your pets into our amazing cat sanctuary where they're treated with love and affection until the right forever home is found for them.
Urban Feline Australia is not a large company with government resources, a large facility and a lot of staff. Our tiny rescue is a one man operation run from the safety of our own home. We do this for the love of animals and our only agenda is to save as many cats as we can. We rely heavily on cooperation from friends, other rescues, our amazing foster carers and the kindness of strangers to survive. Every cent we receive from donations and adoption fees is used to keep our rescue running and cover the cost of food, water, litter, equipment and vet bills for the animals in our care.
We are doing as much as we can right now but our dream is to one day be able to purchase a larger property or facility that would allow us to be able to save the lives of many more cats in need. Perhaps even open a cat cafe so that we can spread our message to a wider audience.
We have recently created a Go Fund Me towards this end so if you would like to donate towards our cause please follow the below link.
