About Hizzy
***WE'RE ALWAYS ON THE LOOKOUT FOR FOSTER CARERS TO HELP US OUT SO IF YOU THINK YOU CAN PROVIDE A TEMPORARY HOME FOR ONE OF OUR BEAUTIFUL CATS PLEASE LET US KNOW. THE MORE CARERS WE HAVE AVAILABLE TO LEND A HAND THE MORE CATS WE CAN HELP REHOME***
This handsome gentleman is quirky, loving and full of personality.
Sadly Hizzy was on a list of cats due to be put down at a shelter but luckily, thanks to some amazing people, we were able to get him out of there and he's now living the good life with his new foster family.
Funnily enough, when he first arrived we were told he was female and he came with the name Izzy, which we naturally found this very amusing and decided to name him Hizzy as a result.
Hizzy took a little while to settle and was quite timid at first. But his foster carer has done an amazing job with him and with time and love his beautiful personality has begun to shine through he has evolved into a confident, affectionate and sassy little gentleman.
He now struts around as if he owns the house and demands his foster daddys attention whenever he's in the mood.
Hizzy loves a pat and a scratch, will rub up against you when he's in the mood for attention, will curl up in bed with you when it's time for a nap and just generally wants to be part of whatever you are doing. He's not quite a lap cat yet but we're working on it.
He has transformed from a cat that refused to come out of the safety of his cat carrier to one that will follow you wherever you go and make sure whatever you're doing is done correctly. Everything is now a team sport.
Hizzy is also good with other cats and has tolerated his foster sister and a pair of kittens with grace. He's even happy to chill out with the dog that regularly comes to visit.
He has a very quirky personality that is a constant source of entertainment for his foster dad and makes the most amusing facial expressions. He's also very low maintenance, very relaxed and very easy to look after.
Hizzy is also very vocal so you can literally have a conversation with him.
If you're looking to add an affectionate and amusing little ball of love to your household then Hizzy is the cat for you.
Hizzy is approximately 18 months old and has been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and is available for adoption right meow.
If you think you have the room in your heart and your home to provide this gorgeous little soul with a great life please let us know and we’ll be more than happy to arrange a time for you to meet and fall in love with him.
Located in Flemington with one of our amazing foster carers.

A little about us:
Urban Feline Australia is a newly established cat rescue service, run by one passionate individual with the help of friends and volunteers, that is dedicated to keeping cats out of kill shelters and helping them find loving forever homes. We specialize in helping "surrenders" which are cats that have lived with humans previously but for one reason or another their owners are unfortunately no longer able to look after them. We take your pets into our amazing cat sanctuary where they're treated with love and affection until the right forever home is found for them.
Urban Feline Australia is not a large company with government resources, a large facility and a lot of staff. Our tiny rescue is a one man operation run from the safety of our own home. We do this for the love of animals and our only agenda is to save as many cats as we can. We rely heavily on cooperation from friends, other rescues, our amazing foster carers and the kindness of strangers to survive. Every cent we receive from donations and adoption fees is used to keep our rescue running and cover the cost of food, water, litter, equipment and vet bills for the animals in our care.
We are doing as much as we can right now but our dream is to one day be able to purchase a larger property or facility that would allow us to be able to save the lives of many more cats in need. Perhaps even open a cat cafe so that we can spread our message to a wider audience.
We have recently created a Go Fund Me towards this end so if you would like to donate towards our cause please follow the below link.
