About Benny
Meet Benny – The Teddy Bear in Disguise
Benny is not quite six years old, but he’s already mastered the art of stealing hearts. This stunning blue British Shorthair boy is a big, goofy teddy bear masquerading as a cat. With his plush coat, round cheeks, and wide amber eyes, Benny is the perfect example of British Shorthair charm - but it’s his affectionate, people-loving nature that truly sets him apart.
Benny adores everyone he meets. Whether it’s visitors, foster carers, or potential adopters, he’s the first to say hello and the last to leave your side. He’s a social butterfly wrapped in a luxurious fur coat, and while he’s not fussy about who he loves, he is a bit fussy when it comes to the finer things in life - like his food. (He knows what he likes, and he likes it served on time.)
This handsome boy gets along well with other cats, though he’s not overly dependent on feline company. He’s just as happy curled up next to a human friend, purring contentedly while soaking up all the love and attention on offer. There’s a bit of a goofball in him too - he has a look that’s equal parts regal and ridiculous, and he’s not above pulling a funny face or striking a silly pose to make you laugh.
British Shorthairs like Benny are known for their calm, easy-going temperament and teddy bear looks. They’re affectionate without being clingy, intelligent without being demanding, and famously adaptable. Their dense, velvety coat and rounded features make them one of the most beloved breeds in the world.
We all at Little Paws have a soft spot for Benny. He originally came into our care as a 16-week-old kitten, surrendered to a vet after a fall left him with a broken hip that required surgery to remove the ball joint. Little Paws covered the cost of his surgery, and during his recovery, we all completely fell in love with his sweet, goofy nature. The surgery was a complete success and hasn’t slowed him down one bit - he runs, jumps, and plays just like any other cat, and we don’t expect he’ll have any further issues. While we’re sad that his happily ever after didn’t work out the first time around, we’re honoured to have been trusted once again to help him find the loving forever home he truly deserves.
Benny is looking for a safe, indoor-only home where he can be adored as the special boy he is. The first to meet him will undoubtedly fall head over heels - so don’t wait too long to come and say hello to this loveable gentleman. Benny is ready to charm his way into your heart.
All Little Paws Kitten Rescue cats and kittens come to you vet checked, desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, flea treated, and litter trained. As we are a rescue group, the adoption fee is not negotiable. Little Paws Kitten Rescue cats and kittens are indoor or cat enclosure only and must go to homes that intend them to stay that way. This is for their safety, the health of the cat or kitten and for the environment. It is our foster carer’s choice as to which home a cat or kitten goes to. We match the cats and kittens to the adoptee; we do not necessarily “sell” to the first caller. As our foster carers are all volunteers raising the cats and kittens in their own home, we would appreciate you letting them know if you cannot make an appointment.
