Meet Clover,

Clover is a one-of-a-kind girl with a whole lot of personality packed into her squishy face! True to her Shar Pei roots, she’s independent, confident, and has that signature aloof charm that makes her all the more intriguing. But don’t be fooled - Clover is also a happy, playful soul who lights up when she’s with her people.

She’s curious about the world, and loves getting involved in whatever the day brings. Whether it’s an early morning walk, a backyard adventure, or just hanging out while you do your thing, Clover is all in. She's smart, outgoing, and always up for something fun.

Clover would thrive with experienced dog owners, especially those familiar with the Shar Pei breed. She’s adaptable and comfortable in all kinds of home environments, and she’d love an active lifestyle to match her energy and enthusiasm.

Ideal Home: Clover is suitable to live in any property type, and yard size is of no concern either. Just as long as the yard is fully fenced and secure.

Family: Clover is open to meet kids of any age - she's a playful girl who loves to make friends so she may accidently knock smaller kids over during play time.

She is also suitable to live with people who work full-time as she is able to spend time on her own without any issues. She can also spend time in the yard without any issues or be inside with her new family.

Furry Friends: Clover must be the only dog in the home. It appears that she was not socialised when she was younger, and has most likely grown up as the only dog in her previous home.

As we cannot test in this environment, we are unsure how Clover would go living with/meeting cats & pocket pets. This would be up to the discretion of her new owners.

Training & Development: Clover would benefit from post-adoption training such as training at home to cover basic commands/obedience. Clover will jump on you sometimes, this is usually because she wants your attention.

Clover is still learning her name, but she knows commands such as: sit. Clover is food motivated, and is mostly gentle when taking treats from you but she does sometimes forget her manners - so having treats on you during training to mark good behaviour would be an excellent idea.

We always recommend post-adoption training whether it be at home or with a professional. Training doesn’t have to be a chore – it can be a fun experience for you both, it doesn’t have to take long & is a great way for you to bond with your new pal.

Play: Clover has mid-range energy needs & would benefit from exercise, play, or walks from 20-30mins every other day to keep her content. Clover likes playing with toys but prefers personal play with her handlers.

Clover walks well on lead with minimal pulling and is fine to be walked on either a harness or martingale.

Staff Comments: Clover is a sweet dog who is engaging and loving. She needs an owner who will love her as much as she loves them, an owner who will happily invest in her training and development.
