Meet Boo Boo,
Looking for a dog who’s as cheerful as a sunny day and as sweet as a marshmallow? Say hello to Boo Boo! This happy little guy is the full package – smart, friendly, playful, and absolutely bursting with love.
Boo Boo is the kind of dog who just gets it. He’s gentle, easy going, and ready to fit right into your life, whether you're a first-time dog owner or a seasoned pro. Apartment, house, big backyard, busy family, active lifestyle – Boo Boo can adapt to it all!
He loves exploring, playing, and being part of the action, but he’s also more than happy to just hang out and be by your side. With his curious nature and confident charm, he’s always up for a new adventure or a new friend to meet (he’s very social!).
Boo Boo’s affectionate heart and clever mind make him an absolute delight to be around. He’s outgoing without being over the top, and always seems to know how to make people smile.
Ideal Home: Boo Boo is suitable to live in any property type, and yard size is of no concern either. Just as long as the yard is fully fenced and secure.
Family: Boo Boo is open to meet kids of any age - he is soft hearted and gentle natured.
He is fine to spend time in the yard on his own but would enjoy spending time with his new family. Boo Boo is fine to live with people who work full-time as he is independent and easy.
Furry Friends: Boo Boo is open to meet other dogs. He was a bit of a sook at the start but as the assessment went on Boo Boo relaxed and was able to interact with a loose body and offer play bows to the other dog. In saying this, Boo Boo does need further socialisation training as it was obvious that he's not entirely confident and is still trying to find his play style.
As we cannot test in this environment, we are unsure how Boo Boo would go living with/meeting cats & pocket pets. This would be up to the discretion of his new owners.
Training & Development: Boo Boo would benefit from post-adoption training such as training at home to cover basic commands/obedience. Group classes would also be a good option so that the dog social skills that he already has don't get rusty.
With some additional training and time to settle into a new routine Boo Boo could be the type of dog that you could take to a dog friendly café or social event.
Boo Boo is still learning his name, but he knows commands such as: sit. He is food motivated too, and is gentle when taking treats from you - so having treats on you during training to mark good behaviour would be an excellent idea.
We always recommend post-adoption training whether it be at home or with a professional. Training doesn’t have to be a chore – it can be a fun experience for you both, it doesn’t have to take long & is a great way for you to bond with your new pal.
Play: Boo Boo has mid-range energy needs & would benefit from exercise, play, or walks from 20-30mins every other day to keep him happy & healthy. Boo Boo likes to play with toys - he doesn't really have a favourite - he also enjoys dog group outings and personal play with his handlers.
Boo Boo walks well on lead and walks best on either a harness or martingale.
Staff Comments: Boo Boo is friendly, curious and dog social. He's a lovely, young boy who would make anyone happy to own him. You can't help but fall in love with him and he's suitable for any one and any home!

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
The adoption fee for dogs covers C5 vaccination, health check, heartworm testing, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
