Meet Penny - a smart, independent cat with a big personality who's looking for a stable, understanding home after a somewhat unsettled past.

While Penny enjoys lounging nearby and will seek attention when she wants it, and prefers to come and go as she pleases. She also doesn't like to be overly handled and will let you know when she's had enough.

Shelter life has been stressful for Penny, but once she's comfortable she relaxes and seeks gentle affection.
She's best suited to a home with older children who can read cat body language and respect her need for space.

Penny has lived with a dog before but preferred to keep her distance, so she may do okay with a calm, respectful dog with proper supervision.
