About Mongo
Meet Mongo - Big Love. Big Paws. Not So Big on Smarts.
Mongo is a big, black-and-white hunk of feline affection. Built like a linebacker, soft as a marshmallow, and about as sharp as a bowling ball - but don't let that fool you. What Mongo lacks in brains, he makes up for in pure, unfiltered love.
This boy isn't here to solve puzzles or open doors - he's here to snuggle, purr, and be your oversized shadow. He's the kind of cat who might try to chase his own tail and then forget why he was chasing it in the first place. But the moment you sit down? Mongo's there, plopping all 4.7 kgs of himself onto your lap like a living, purring weighted blanket.
Mongo walks in like he owns the place, then forgets why he came in. He's low-drama, high-affection, and absolutely impossible not to love.
Mongo's perfect home is with someone who appreciates love over logic.
A couch (or lap) strong enough to hold a cat who thinks he's a feather.
Maybe some small humans who won't mind Mongo forgetting personal space.
Mongo doesn't know much, but he knows you are his whole world. Adopt this gentle goofball and get ready for a lifetime of belly rubs, warm headbutts, and the kind of loyalty you can only get from a cat who truly believes you turn the sun on and off each day.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
