About Lara
Lara is almost 16 years old.
She's a German Shepherd x Husky with sweet eyes, a greying muzzle, and the quiet hope that someone, somewhere, might still see her - and care.
She has spent her whole life loving people, and now, in the final stretch of her journey, she's asking for just one thing: a soft, warm home where she can rest her head and not feel forgotten.
Lara is incredibly sweet. Despite her age, she still trots happily on her walks, enjoys gentle scratches, and lights up when offered a treat. She's agile, food-motivated, and still has little moments of puppy-like joy. But the shelter isn't where she belongs. Not now. Not at this stage in her life. She tries so hard to be clean, and if given the chance, will always choose to toilet outside. But her aging body sometimes lets her down. Still, she does her best - always.
Lara doesn't want to share her space with other animals or children - not because she isn't kind, but because she's simply too tired to adjust. She just wants peace. She just wants quiet. She just wants you.
If someone doesn't come for her soon, Lara may live out her last days behind a kennel door and it's not the ending she deserves. Please - if you have a couch, a quiet home, and a heart big enough to give an old girl the love she's spent a lifetime giving, open your door to Lara.
You won't just be giving her a home.
You'll be giving her a miracle.
You'll be saving a life.
Lara is waiting. Let her final days be filled with warmth, not loneliness.
