About Doc
If you’ve ever dreamed of sharing your life (and probably your couch, and let’s be honest — your bed too) with a big, snuggly, slightly goofy best friend, Doc might be the one you’ve been waiting for.
Doc is a 64kg friendly giant with a heart as big as he is. He absolutely adores people — adults, kids, visitors — and has been living peacefully alongside a chihuahua, a kelpie mix, and two cats. He’s proven himself to be easy-going, kind, and adaptable with the other pets he lives with.
This laid-back boy enjoys the simple pleasures: lounging around the house, following his humans from room to room, finding the comfiest spot for a nap, and soaking up any pats or any tasty snacks on offer. He’s loyal, affectionate, and happiest when he’s near his people.
Doc is great with kids and fine being left alone while you’re out. When it’s bath time, he’s a dream — he’ll hop into the tub and stand patiently while you give him a scrub.
That said, at 64kg, Doc is a big dog who needs someone strong enough to manage his size on walks. He’s not a dog park kind of guy — he prefers a quiet stroll or some playtime in the yard over the chaos of off-leash play with lots of other dogs.
What makes Doc special:
*Loves people, including kids
*Gets along well with cats and other respectful dogs
*Fine home alone for reasonable periods
*Loyal, loving, and no bending down to pat him!
*Low-energy and happiest being your couch buddy
A few quirks to keep you smiling:
*He is into recycling: he’ll gladly help himself to food on the bench or in the bin if he gets the chance
*He thinks the litter tray is a cat pâté buffet if it’s not kept out of reach
*He needs ongoing leash training and guidance on walks
Doc would thrive in a calm, loving home with a comfy couch, gentle adventures, and people who will enjoy his sweet, goofy personality. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s more about chill than thrill, Doc might just be your guy.
Medical notes
Doc is desexed, microchipped and up to date with vaccinations and parasite control.
He is in perfect health.
