Meet Horchata - A Sweet Soul with a Big Heart

Horchata is a gentle, affectionate boy who appears to be completely deaf. He may not hear you coming, but he'll always be by your side, following you around and soaking up head, chin, and back scratches. He purrs and kneads when petted and will even roll over to show you his belly.

Because of his deafness, Horchata can be sensitive and easily startled - he appreciates being gently alerted before you approach and prefers not to be picked up. During his first days in a new home, he may meow for reassurance, but once he feels safe, he settles into a calm and loving routine. At night, a soft light and a comfy shirt help ease his anxiety.

He's a fan of visual toys - ribbons, bright colours, and anything shiny that moves - and enjoys interactive play where he can see everything clearly. He's also wonderfully tolerant of grooming and dressing up, as long as it's done gently.

Horchata is looking for a patient, loving home - ideally with someone who works from home or isn't away for long hours. In return, he'll be a loyal and comforting companion who brings warmth and heart to your life.
