About Wayne rsua013802
Introducing Wayne, a delightful young senior Ragdoll with a heart full of love to give. With his gentle demeanor and charming presence, Wayne is the perfect companion for someone seeking a tranquil and affectionate feline friend. This quiet gentleman is all about the simple pleasures in life—finding a cozy lap to curl up on, basking in the serene company of his human, and enjoying the comforts of an indoor only home.
Wayne, with his striking blue eyes and plush coat, is a friendly and devoted fellow who thrives in a calm household where he can form a deep bond with his human. He isn't interested in sharing your attention with other pets or children; he prefers the undivided focus of a kindred spirit who is around more often than not. Wayne is perfectly content with an inside lifestyle, which matches his relaxed and peaceful disposition.
If you are looking for a loving and quiet feline family member who will offer you warmth and comfort, Wayne is ready to join you in a life of shared contentment.
Medical notes
Chronic rhinitis: we have noted ongoing sneezing and some nasal discharge since Wayne has been in our care. Despite numerous medications, he has continued to have some sneezing and discharge. We believe at this stage this is due to his prior severe flu infection, which has possibly caused chronic inflammation of his nasal passages. We have seen no indication of other causes for this when investigation has been done (xrays, nasal flush, cytology). Wayne should be examined by your veterinarian if his condition worsens. Very rarely further investigation such as biopsies and/or CT scans are required. He is on no treatment for this condition at present.
Chronic blepharitis: Wayne had severe conjunctivitis of his left eye when he came into our care. Despite fluushing of his tear duct and numerous medication trials, he has mild inflammation of this eye continuing. He is best controlled on his current medication (acular eye drops twice daily) which we recommend is continued in his new home.
Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
