About Sherlock
🕵️ Meet Sherlock – The Spotted Sleuth of Your Dreams!
Sherlock is truly one of a kind. Lanky, lovable, and overflowing with goofy charm, this resilient boy has bounced back from a tough start to life, beating parvovirus as a pup and growing into a strong, loyal, and clever companion.
Quick to learn and quicker to love, Sherlock is a curious and cautious explorer who bonds deeply with his people. Once you're in, you're in for life — and that life will include nonstop cuddles, plenty of laughs, and exactly zero personal space.
With his gorgeous spotty coat, floppy ears, and expressive puppy-dog eyes, Sherlock turns heads everywhere he goes. Be ready for strangers to stop you on the street or at the dog park to ask, “What breed is he?” — because this handsome mystery mix steals hearts wherever he trots.
He's also a social butterfly with other dogs, intuitively adapting his play style depending on the dog he's with. Whether it’s a gentle sniff or an all-out wrestle, Sherlock knows how to make friends.
🏡 My Ideal Home
Sherlock would thrive in a home where someone is around more often than not — whether it’s a work-from-home buddy or a household with another playful pup. He's learning to build confidence when left alone, but he absolutely loves company, human or canine.
A backyard is a big bonus, as this growing boy has energy to burn and would love space to play and explore between walks. He’s already great at sharing his toys, food, and cozy spots, so he’s well-suited to a household with other pets.
⚡ My Energy Level
Sherlock is the perfect mix of playful pup and chill companion. He has energetic bursts throughout the day, especially around walk and playtime, but he’s also a major nap enthusiast — particularly in the mornings.
He thrives with routine and consistency. After a sniffy walk, a wrestle with a doggy mate, or a few enrichment games, he’s happy to flop down with his favourite toy for a good snooze. And don’t worry — he sleeps through the night like a dream.
👶 My Suitability to Children
Sherlock hasn’t had lots of experience with children yet, but he's shown a friendly nature when meeting little humans. Since he’s a bit gangly and still growing into his limbs, he’s working on not jumping or nibbling when excited — so supervision and gentle guidance will help him be his best self around kids. Given his size, he's likely best to live with humans 13 and up.
🐾 My Suitability to Other Cats or Dogs
Sherlock has a heart for every furry friend he meets. He's gentle, observant, and respectful with other animals — reading the room like a seasoned detective.
While he may try to play with cats at first, he’s quick to understand boundaries. With dogs, he’s a pro at matching their vibe — whether that’s a full-on wrestle, a casual trot, or a calm sniff-around.

We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
