Meet Mochi – A Sweet Soul Looking for Her Safe Place.

Mochi is a gentle, sensitive 4.5-year-old Whippet with the softest brown brindle coat. She came to us after a traumatic dog attack, and while she only sustained soft tissue injuries and has made a full physical recovery, she is still working through some emotional scars. Her previous owner, unable to afford medical care, made the difficult decision to surrender her to a local veterinary clinic, who then passed her onto us to help find her pawfect furrever home.
Despite her shy nature, Mochi is a true “people’s dog.” She thrives on quiet companionship and quickly forms bonds with her humans. She struggles with separation anxiety, so she’ll do best in a home where someone is around most of the time or where she can be gradually desensitized with patient support.
Her favorite things include:
Doing zoomies around the yard (she’s fast!)

Short, relaxed walks.

Curling up in your lap like a much smaller dog.

Long, lazy naps in sunbeams.

Mochi is good with other dogs and cats, but she prefers respectful company. She can become nippy if another animal gets too close to her face, and she’ll give chase if a cat runs.
She has a solid recal, walks well on the lead and knows how to sit, but will benefit from continued training to build confidence and structure.

Ideal Home:
Quiet and calm environment.

Someone home most of the day.

No pushy pets (or animals that like to run!)

A lap to sit on and a comfy spot for naps.

Mochi’s past may have left her a little wary, but with the right home, she’s ready to open her heart again.

📍 Currently fostered in Rochester, Victoria, which is 3 hours North of Melbourne.

Ideally we'd like to see Mochi go to a furever home with someone who works from home or a retired couple/person who she can spend her time with whether that is at home or on holidays with you.

They are introduced to the comings and goings, noises, smells and environments of a normal household. They are all temperament tested, recieve basic training, are desexed, michrochipped,vaccinated,wormed, flea free.
