About Layla
Layla!
Beautiful Layla has not seen much of the outside world. At 3 years old, she has already had 2 litters of puppies but now, thankfully, those days are behind her. Layla is a stunning Dogue de Bordeaux mix with a beautiful easy-going nature.
Layla would make a lovely family dog with dog-savvy kids; she has lived with children in the past & behaves appropriately around them.
Layla is a big girl, although don't let this put you off, she happily lazes in the sunshine after her morning outing. She is not a high energy girl, but she would love to accompany you on walks & outings. Her favourite pastime here at the shelter is going on Sniffari! This is where she gets to decide where she goes & what she sniffs! There's lots of new things for her to discover.
Layla has lived with a large male dog previously & could possibly live with a sociable male in her new home. We'd have to line up a meet & greet prior to adoption to make sure they can be buddies.
Layla is toilet trained & keeps her kennel pretty spotless. She loves treats & looks forward to her frozen stuffed Kong toy at the end of each day. It is important to provide dogs with things like healthy long-lasting chews or bones, frozen Kongs or food puzzle toys. These are a form of mental enrichment & are also self-soothing for anxious or stressed animals
There is a lot for Layla to process now that life has changed quite drastically for her, but she is taking it all in her stride & looking forward to the next chapter in her life with a new loving family!
