About Muffin
Introducing Muffin—a gentle soul in search of a quiet, patient home where she can truly blossom. Muffin is a petite small mixed breed girl with a shy disposition, and she’s looking for a family who understands that trust takes time. While she may be reserved at first, those who give her the space and encouragement she needs will be rewarded with her playful, loving side.
Muffin has faced her share of challenges, and she can be easily overwhelmed by new experiences or loud environments. She’s not highly food motivated and sometimes gives up when things feel too hard, so her new family will need to be gentle and encouraging, celebrating every little victory. Muffin is at her best when she has a confident doggy friend to show her the ropes—having a calm, friendly canine companion at home is essential for her continued growth and happiness.
Muffin came into care alongside her siblings, and after a recent outbreak of parvo at the pound they came from the 7 of them went straight into 2 weeks isolation. While no parvo eventuated unfortunately for these puppies it was an uphill battle for health until now and they are now fit to find their forever homes. The whole litter had ups and downs health wise and as a result, Muffin had cloudy eyes and needed ophthalmologist care for a couple of months. Her vision is back to normal, but she does have some calcifications in her eyes permanently. Full details of her health journey will be provided to any interested party, but her vet team have said she is ready to find her forever home.
Due to these puppies having a few health issues to start, they are a little behind in exposure and socialisation. They have been living all together with 3 resident dogs and amazing foster carers who have been doing as much as they can given the circumstances. Muffin’d development is more like a 10 week old puppy rather than a 4 month old puppy , so prospective owners will need to be happy to start from basics. Despite her initial hesitancy, Muffin enjoys a good rumble, chase, or tug with her dog friends, and she’s learning to relax outside of her playpen. She’s crate trained, travels well in the car, and is working on her toilet training. A quiet household with adults only will give Muffin the security she needs to come out of her shell at her own pace.
Muffin will need a home where she is allowed inside as part of the family and provided with a good quality diet. Her new owners will need to be prepared to continue her development and provide her with lots of fun training and socialisation with trusted dogs and people. She will need people home most of the time and be allowed to sleep inside of a night. If you have a gentle home and a kind-hearted dog who can help guide Muffin, you could be the family she’s been waiting for. With patience and love, Muffin will reward you with her quiet loyalty and the sweetest moments of trust. Please fill out an adoption application form on our website and include plenty of details bout your living situation and the type of home you could offer Muffin.
Additional information: This puppy will be adopted out under a desexing contract that will require the dog to be desexed by a given age. The cost of desexing will be included as part of the adoption fee. A $250 desexing bond will be payable in addition to the adoption fee and will be refunded upon proof of desexing. This process is further discussed with successful applicants.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
