About Macaroni
Hi there! I’m Macaroni – the wiggliest, happiest little pup you’ll ever meet. Life started out a bit rough for me and my siblings, and just when I was getting the hang of being a puppy, I broke my leg! But I’m a tough little noodle, and thanks to some amazing vets, I’m all healed up and ready to find my forever family.
I get along really well with other dogs – I love having a buddy to play and nap with, and would be happiest in a home with a canine companion. I haven’t met any cats yet, but I am still a young pup and could be taught to respect them with proper introductions. I could also be okay as an only pet, as long as my people are home more often than not or willing to include me in their adventures!
At the moment, I sleep inside like the prince I am – usually in my crate or snuggled on a comfy bed. During the day I hang out inside and in a secure yard, and I'm getting used to spending a few hours home alone like a brave boy. I haven’t met chickens or livestock, but I’m still very much a pup so everything is exciting and new to me!
I’m a friendly little guy who loves people, including kids. I’d be a great fit for a family with respectful children who understand how to be gentle with puppies. I’m also great with new people – I might be a little cautious at first, but I warm up quickly (especially if you have snacks!).
My favourite things in the whole wide world? I LOVE soft toys, squeaky toys, and food – all food! I’m pretty food-motivated, which makes training easy. I’ve already mastered some basic commands, and I’m eager to learn more. I’m doing really well with my toilet training too – just need a consistent routine to keep me on track.
I walk nicely on a lead for my age, and while I might get a little excited or distracted at times, I’m learning fast. I haven’t shown any behaviour issues, and I’m pretty chill at the vet. I’m not overly vocal, but I’ll let you know if something needs your attention.
I’m a medium-energy pup – I love a good zoomie session but I also enjoy naps in the sun. I’m not a fence jumper, but a secure yard is a must for a curious boy like me. No aggression or anxiety here – just a happy little dog with a big heart and a second chance at life. 💚
Right now I’m eating Prime100 SPD (Single Protein Diet) rolls, and I’ve got no health concerns anymore – just a strong leg and a brave spirit! One of my quirks? I like to tilt my head when you talk to me, like I’m really trying to understand every word you say.
I can’t wait to find a forever home that will love me as much as my foster family has. If you think we could be the perfect match, come meet me – I’ll be waiting with tail wags and puppy kisses!
Medical notes
Macaroni sustained a leg fracture shortly after coming into care. Due to his malnourished state at the time, his bones were quite fragile. He has now fully recovered and is no longer on any medication. Our vets are very happy with his progress, and he has no ongoing medical needs related to the injury. Regular monitoring as he grows is recommended, but no special treatment or management is currently required.
