About Beckham
Meet Beckham!
Beckham is a lively and playful boy with a big personality and a heart full of love. He’s got all his basic obedience down pat, but when excited, can still be a bit springy. He weighs about 23 kgs.
About Beckham:
✅ Walks beautifully on a leash and loves getting out and about
✅ Crate and house trained
✅ Toy-obsessed — squeakies are his favourite! Protects them from other dogs but happy for humans to take them
✅ Great with fences and barriers — won’t cross a baby gate
✅ Loves water play
Best suited for:
✅ Older kids or adult home (kids 12+ or dog-savvy)
✅ Extremely fond of men — definitely a “blokes’ dog”
✅ Likely an only dog home or someone experienced with the breed mix to slowly introduce other dogs
Not suitable for:
❌ Homes with cats, birds, or small furry pets — high prey drive
❌ Families with small children or dogs of similar size, who may be overwhelmed by his enthusiastic jumps
Other loves:
✅ The car — a great travel buddy
✅ Walks — completely non-reactive to other dogs
✅ A yard to protect — he’ll let you know if someone is around
Beckham is looking for a patient, loving home with people who understand his needs, appreciate his bubbly personality and can continue his training to help him reach his full potential.

Adoption details
Dogs:
(1) The first step is to complete the online adoption application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Please answer all questions and include photos of your yard and fencing.
(2) All applications will be considered by our Adoption Team, following which a "meet and greet" will be offered to the top-ranking applicant.
(3) If the “meet and greet" is successful, the applicant may adopt the dog and take him or her home the same day.
(4) For successful interstate applicants, different arrangements may apply and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
Cats:
If you are interested in one of our cats or kittens, please click on the green "Enquire about ...", button, tell us a bit about yourself and the home you can offer the cat, and one of our volunteers will be in touch.
