About Turbo
*In foster care in Manly, Sydney*
***APPLY BY JUNE 22nd FOR OUR 'CAT OF THE WEEK' SPECIAL PROMO - ADOPTION FEE REDUCED TO $75!!***
Tiny Turbo wakes up every morning with the same mission - to squeeze every drop of joy out of life! This playful, cheeky boy might be a bit wobbly on his feet, but he's never known any different, and he's never let it stop him from being right in the heart of the action :)
TURBO’S HISTORY: Rescued from the pound aged three months with his two brothers, Turbo is a true survivor! Unfortunately the trio were exposed to feline panleukopenia, a virus with a very low survival rate. His first few weeks in care he was very ill - but he pulled through, thanks to early medical support and round-the-clock care, and has blossomed into a bright, happy, and very affectionate kitten. The virus impacted his brain so he has a health condition called cerebellar hypoplasia (CH) which is a non-degenerative condition (it won’t get worse) and doesn’t cause pain. He's a little wobbly and he can’t jump. But he's still keen to play and climb, so a ramp or steps up to the couch and bed would help him to live his best life :)
Like all Maggie's pets, Turbo is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: I'm looking for an indoor-only home (for safety due to my CH), ideally with another kitten or cat who's either similarly wobbly or also has a disability. Matching energy levels and play styles are key, and a loving environment will help me thrive!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I'm playful, confident and cuddly - all the best things! I frequently seek out a human lap to sit on and snuggle, especially after a big play session :) I am a little slower on my feet than other cats, with some slower reflexes.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I think I'd enjoy living with gentle and respectful children who understand my mobility needs, ideally of at least high school age (12+).
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Another cat with similar energy levels or disabilities would make a wonderful friend for me!

Medical notes
Turbo has cerebellar hypoplasia (CH). It’s a non-degenerative condition (it won’t get worse) and doesn’t cause pain. It means he is a little wobbly, has slower reflexes and can’t jump. Simple adjustments like steps up to the couch and bed would help him.

We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
