Hi, I’m Bear – a big-hearted Rottweiler cross with a soulful gaze and a gentle spirit.

I’m an adult dog with a calm, thoughtful personality, and I’m looking for a home where I can feel safe, respected, and loved.

Once I feel comfortable, I show my affectionate side – leaning in for cuddles, enjoying quiet companionship, and gently asking for more pats with a soft nudge of my head.

Because of my sensitive nature, I’m best suited to a home without young children – those under 12 might not quite understand my need for space. I’d do wonderfully with older, dog-savvy kids who know how to interact respectfully and give me the time I need to warm up. I really thrive when I’m given choice and control in my interactions – it helps me feel safe and build trust with my people.

I’ve met some dogs in care and I feel much more at ease when the other dog is calm and social like me. If you’ve already got a well-balanced canine companion at home, I’d love to meet them – I might just find a new best friend. I do best when dog introductions are done slowly and thoughtfully, so everyone feels good about it. Being a Rottweiler cross, I’m a smart boy who needs both mental and physical stimulation to keep me happy and healthy. I enjoy a good sniffy walk and food puzzle toys to keep my brain busy. I’m loyal, affectionate in my own sweet way, and when I trust you, I’ll be your quiet shadow, just happy to be nearby.
