About Billie
Meet Freddy!
Freddy is a bright, boisterous young Border Collie who's ready to take on the world-one sniff at a time. He's a friendly and energetic boy who hasn't had the benefit of early life experiences or socialisation but has shown impressive resilience and adaptability since arriving in care.
Freddy can be a little conflicted with handling at times, showing signs like increased panting, but he's learning to feel more comfortable with patient, low-pressure interactions. He's independent and curious, often pulling ahead on lead as he eagerly explores the world around him.
He already knows "sit" and "drop," and with his sharp mind and food motivation, he's a great candidate for ongoing training and enrichment.
Freddy has also shown lovely, pro-social behaviours when meeting other dogs. He interacts politely and reads other dogs well, offering appropriate play cues and showing good social resilience-even with more forward play styles.
Freddy would thrive in an experienced, patient home that can guide him through the world at his pace. A calm, predictable environment and a confident dog buddy may help him continue to build positive experiences. He'll benefit from gentle handling, structure, and lots of opportunities for sniffing, learning, and play.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
