About Deisel
💙 Meet Deisel – A Gentle Husky Looking for His Forever Home 💙
Deisel is a stunning 9 1/2 year old purebred Siberian Husky with a striking wolf-grey coat and soulful eyes. He’s desexed, calm, loving, and ready to bring joy and companionship to a special home.
He has a gentle, easygoing nature and has become even more mellow with age. He’s incredibly affectionate and thrives on human companionship. He’s grown up around adults and older kids, but has also shown he’s great with younger children he’s very gentle with his current family’s 3 year old son. Deisel also gets along well with other dogs and has lived harmoniously with an English Bulldog for the past 6 years.
🩺 Medical Information
Deisel lives with an autoimmune condition where his immune system attacks his white blood cells. This is a lifelong condition that is well managed with daily medication (Prednisolone, 5mg or 7.5mg exact dosage to be confirmed).
Daily Dose: Half + a quarter tablet, once a day with food
Cost: $30–$40 every 3 months
Tablets come whole and are easily divided with a tablet cutter. He also needs a PCV (Packed Cell Volume) blood test every 3–6 months to monitor his blood levels, which have remained stable (between 41–46). His medication dosage has not needed to be change thanks to this stability. Any adjustment in medication could trigger a relapse, so maintaining consistency is key.
Due to his condition, Deisel cannot be vaccinated, as this could trigger a flare-up.
🐾 What He Needs
Deisel is looking for a compassionate and responsible home that can continue managing his medical needs and give him the love he deserves. Despite his condition, he is thriving and has so much love left to give.
He will make a loyal, gentle, and loving companion to anyone willing to give him a second chance. He’s brought endless joy to his current family over the past 9 years, and now it’s time for him to bring that same happiness to someone new.
Deisel is more than his diagnosis, he’s a truly special boy who will reward you with love, loyalty, calm companionship, and a heart full of gratitude.
If you think you can offer Deisel the forever home he deserves, please reach out to us.
