About Roxy
Meet Roxy, your new best friend and bundle of joy! This four-year-old Mastiff mix is an outgoing and happy girl who adores people and craves attention and pats. With her affectionate nature, Roxy will never fail to shower you with love and excitement, sometimes even giving spontaneous jumps of joy. Having spent time in the care of a pound longer than most (a total of 469 days before coming into SMARTs care), Roxy deserves a future filled with warmth, companionship, and lots of love. Roxy has now been in care 554 days.
Roxy is excited by the world around her and loves going on walks. She would benefit from ongoing lead training to perfect her walking etiquette and minimize eager pulling. Roxy would best suit kids over the age of ten, making her a great fit for a family. Her joyful personality matches the energy and playfulness of an active household, promising delightful interactions with her loved ones. While Roxy's past experiences have resulted in some reactivity towards other dogs, she's making excellent progress with structured introductions and could thrive with continued patience and positive reinforcement.
Potential adopters without cats, please. A home where Roxy can be the focus of your world would be ideal, as we have observed her instinctively chase them. Despite spending time solo in her previous environment, Roxy has shown no signs of separation anxiety, so she is comfortable with independent moments.
To sum up, Roxy would love an attentive and loving family with older children to shower her with affection and guide her with confidence. Her heart is open, and she eagerly awaits the chance to be a cherished member of her new family.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
