Meet Daisy, a beautiful 9-month-old German Shepherd pup who is looking for her forever home due to no fault of her own.
Daisy is a friendly girl who can be a little shy at first, however once she warms up, she is a typical jumpy puppy that wants to say hello, give kisses and give you a sniff test for any suspicious treats that may be hiding. Daisy is still learning impulse control and whilst she has learnt her very basic of commands, she does need reminding of her manners.
Daisy has grown up with visiting children, however she does knock them over when excited and can still be very boisterous at times, she would be best suited to a home where everyone is over the age of 8 and who are savvy with large dogs.
Daisy is very food motivated and wants to learn; she is clever and picks things up quickly, however has never had much time invested into her. In the right hands, with someone willing to put the time and effort into Daisy, we know she will become a focused, attentive pup that can master any trick or command.
Daisy has never had consistent boundaries, her current home is a little busy; rules, routine and direction are not something Daisy has had much of, she will need a committed family that can give her consistent training feedback and enforcement to ensure she understands exactly what is expected of her.
Daisy loves to play, anything that squeaks is her absolute favourite toy, she enjoys playing fetch but is still working on bringing balls back. Like all pups, if Daisy is bored, she will make her own fun, chewing, landscaping and getting into mischief. Daisy will need plenty of exercise and mental stimulation in her new home, she is an active girl that wants to be kept entertained.
Daisy has poor leash skills, despite her size, she pulls like a freight train and will need to work on her leash manners with her new family. Daisy will need someone physically capable of walking a large dog that pulls hard, we highly recommend she works with a trainer to learn the foundation skill of walking nicely on lead.
Daisy hasn’t regularly left her yard, the outside world is very exciting and overstimulating, especially other dogs. When Daisy sees another dog, she will give high pitched barks, lunge and pull towards them, wanting to go and say hello, Daisy has not shown aggression to other dogs, but her excitement easily turns to frustration. When given the opportunity to calm down and introduced slowly, Daisy was great with our assessment dog.
Daisy has always lived with other dogs; she can be a little boisterous in her play style the older she gets; however, they are the only thing she currently has for entertainment. Daisy would do well living with a large breed male dog that will give her corrections but also play with her too. Daisy would also be ok living as the only dog so long as someone is home often.
Daisy has not been tested with cats or other small pets; her lack of impulse control suggests separation would be necessary.
This gorgeous girl has so much potential, she has a goofy, bouncy personality but is also extremely bright and willing to learn. With some time and effort to teach Daisy manners, boundaries and foundation skills, she will be an incredible dog.

Adoption details
We offer a 'Foster to Adopt' program. This means that the dog will go to live with their adoptive family for 4 weeks to ensure it is the perfect match for both the dog and new family. After the 4 weeks is complete, if all has gone well, the adoption is formalised and your new doggy companion is officially yours!
If you are interested in adopting from us, we ask that you fill out the Adoption Application form on our website (via the link provided below) with as much detail as possible, including the name of the dog you are interested in.
We do not rehome female dogs to a home where there is an existing female dog. Whilst there are always exceptions, it is generally unwise to have two females together; two males can sort it out, a male and a female can sort it out, but when two females fight, the results can be disastrous. For this reason, following the advice from numerous Veterinary behaviourists, as well as our own experience from the last eight years, we do not rehome females into homes with other female dogs.
All of our dogs are de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated
Puppies (2 months to 4 months) - $1000
Puppies (4 to 6 months) - $800
Adolescents (6 months to 1 year) - $700
