About Kozzie and Boof

Kozzie and Boof are two long stock coat German Shepherds in need of a loving forever home, their owner can no longer keep them. This is going to be a big change for both dogs, their entire world will be turned upside down; whilst we could split them up, we are going to try and find them a home together, so that they have some type of stability and can lean on each other for support.
Kozzie(left) is female and is almost 3 years old, and Boof (right) is a 3.5-year-old male - they have been together for a very long time and absolutely adore each other. These dogs have grown up on a rural property as outside dogs, they enjoy playing with their humans and get very excited when they come outside to interact with them. Kozzie and Boof haven’t had much in the way of exposure to small children, they would need to be closely supervised at all times.
Boof loves toys, particularly balls, he enjoys a game of fetch and Kozzie will chase and run after him; they are active, boisterous dogs that will need plenty of room to run around at their new home. Neither dog has been walked on a lead often, we believe they have spent quite a lot of time confined to their property.
Kozzie and Boof know their basic commands, however, need reminding of their manners at times. Both dogs will need consistent boundaries and someone willing to put in the time and effort into training them, two dogs require double the work, both together and through 1on1 time with their handler. We are looking for a family with breed experience who are committed to providing Kozzie and Boof with the socialisation, exposure and ongoing training they need.
Kozzie and Boof have always lived with another dog, they have also visited a dog park occasionally and reportedly been fine around other large dogs, although this was quite some time ago. Both dogs, particularly Boof, can be overstimulated when they do encounter other dogs, and will need slow integration and exposure. Whilst they could possibly live with another dog again in future, we feel it is probably for the best if they are the only dogs in their new home for the time being.
Boof has a high prey drive and likes to bark at and chase livestock, Kozzie will join in the fun and is very much a follower of all that Boof does. They will need high, secure fencing and to be kept completely separated from other animals including livestock, cats and other small animals.
Whilst Kozzie and Boof currently live outside, they love attention and light up when their humans are around, we know they would love to come inside and spend time with their humans, even if it is just to settle down at night. Both dogs are fine being on their own throughout the day and will welcome you with happy, wagging tails waiting for a game of fetch and lots of pats when you get home!

Adoption details
We offer a 'Foster to Adopt' program. This means that the dog will go to live with their adoptive family for 4 weeks to ensure it is the perfect match for both the dog and new family. After the 4 weeks is complete, if all has gone well, the adoption is formalised and your new doggy companion is officially yours!
If you are interested in adopting from us, we ask that you fill out the Adoption Application form on our website (via the link provided below) with as much detail as possible, including the name of the dog you are interested in.
We do not rehome female dogs to a home where there is an existing female dog. Whilst there are always exceptions, it is generally unwise to have two females together; two males can sort it out, a male and a female can sort it out, but when two females fight, the results can be disastrous. For this reason, following the advice from numerous Veterinary behaviourists, as well as our own experience from the last eight years, we do not rehome females into homes with other female dogs.
All of our dogs are de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated
Puppies (2 months to 4 months) - $1000
Puppies (4 to 6 months) - $800
Adolescents (6 months to 1 year) - $700
