About Chai
Warm and spicy.... yet super sweet with honey, we think this perfectly describes our boy Chai!
Chai hasn't had the easiest life in the shelter and came to us with a fractured toe. Our vet team decided he was better off without it. The stress of being in an unfamiliar environment meant that Chai struggled in his recovery post-surgery. Chai needed a lifeline, and he found one through our wonderful foster department.
Chai spent some much-needed respite away from the shelter in a loving foster home, and his toe began to heal within just 5 days. His foster carer said Chai was very eager to meet new people on his walks and settled wonderfully into his foster home.
Chai is full of life, he loves meeting new people and loves playing with other energetic dogs who match his energy. Chai is looking for a family who can support him through his next stage of life but also provide him with the love he truly deserves.
Chai would be okay to go home with another dog given proper introductions and settling in takes place. Due to his high energy levels Chai would need to go home to a family with older children (12+). Any children will be present for the meet and greet.
Chai loves human interactions, and doesn't do too well with being left alone for long periods. Chai would love a family with a work-from-home lifestyle so that he can always be involved with the daily activities. His new family will also need to ensure continue to do force free training with him to help him be the best he can be.
Chai's story is a testament to his resilient and loving nature.....and with a little bit more love and sweetness, he will continue to thrive in his forever home. So what are you waiting for, come on down to North Melbourne and meet this wonderful boy today.
